Present: D. Watts, L. McBain, N. Thelemaque Visitors: David Bates, Darryl Parker Board Meeting Minutes - 2021-06-02 + A Zoom video recording will be available for a limited time at https://kearsargechamber.org/board-202106.php + David and Darryl attended the meeting to discuss changes that they believe Town of Warner should make regarding parking in the B1 (downtown) district. They believe that there is adequate parking available for the district as a whole and that per-business requirements work against development of businesses in the district and does not maximize taxable property. Darryl noted that he worked with KRSD to allow parking in the Simonds lot when school is not in session. Plans were under way to install "P" parking signs and other signage just before the pandemic started. KRSD is willing to install the signs but does not want to pay for them. It was suggested that KACC might help with the purchase of the signs. Additional discussion was made of the municipal parking area off of Chemical Lane down by Warner Power. Signage on Main St directing people to the lot would be helpful. Signage at the lot would also be useful. David asked how KACC could help. Daniel mentioned that in the past, KACC has written letters of support for projects such as the rail trail. As long as David can provide recommended content for a letter, KACC would most likely be happy to submit a signed letter after reaching out to the downtown merchants for their opinion.
